Schofield 5K Road Race & Fun Fair

• Course Description:  A challenging 5K road race in Wellesley Hills.  Features 3+ hills and finishes on downhill.  Start/finish at Schofield School, 27 Cedar Street, Wellesley.
• Starts at 12 noon on Sunday, June 6, 2010.
• Registration opens at 9:30 a.m.
• T-shirts to first 400 registrants
• Trophies to top 2 finishers in each age/gender category
• Ribbons to all finishers under 12 years old
• Post-race award ceremony.  Awards to the fastest male and female runners in the following categories:
  • 6 and under
  • 7 year olds
  • 8 year olds
  • 9 year olds
  • 10 year olds
  • 11 year olds
  • 12 - 13 year olds
  • 14 - 17 year olds
  • 18 - 39 Open
  • 40 - 49 Masters
  • 50 - 64 Seniors
  • 65 + Seniors
• USATF Certified 5K Course
• Two water stations
• The McAvinn Trophy - a trophy dedicated to the memory of Julie McAvinn (1963-2004), will be awarded to the female Schofield parent who finishes the 5K first.  Julie was a member of our Schofield community and an avid runner.  Her courage and strength live on to inspire us all.

• Entry Fee (Paypal online; cash or checks, payable to Schofield PTO, on race day):
  • $15 in advance (application and fee must be received by 6/5/10).
  • $20 day of race
